This is geared for elementary school students, is written in that tone, and doesn't have much of the history of people who came before the Restalls (as it shouldn't). With that said, it is a fascinating first-hand account of a consuming passion. Everyone sacrificed, some gave more, but all are solid as the Oaks that were growing on this island. If this land is of interest to you, or even if you just want to understand the passion of treasure hunters, buy this book.
Having been hooked on Oak Island since the Readers Digest story this gives more insite and makes it personal. Good read.
Nice piece of artifacts
Great story, great book! The history surrounding this island is really interesting, but I have to admit, like the Titanic story this story can consume your life; like an addiction or obsession! I truly believe there is something or things burried deep within that island, but if disturbed or uncovered the "curse" will come into play! I highly recommend the book though!
