Really great read and perfect for women coming into a relationship with no children of her own. Most stepmom books seem to focus (at least from what I've read) on generality and many aren't of the perspective specifically if the woman does not have kids of her own. Keep in mind when reading these books that we all have our own experiences so I have to remind myself that just because other examples/scenarios played out a certain way or challenging, that that doesn't indicate that my experience with my step kids will also be 100% that way. Keep your head up, stay positive and if you truly invest in spending time with the kids and getting on their level that you'll build the respect you both want and need.

I've found this book to be a great introduction to step parenting for someone who doesn't have kids, doesn't plan on having kids, and never planned on them in the first place. Jacquelyn incorporates anecdotal situations from a variety of step parenting families that she's interviewed which covers the spectrum of situations (on good terms with bio-mom, not on good terms with bio-mom, young kids, old kids, etc.) She uses business terminology to introduce concepts of step parenting, but you don't have to be a corporate type to understand or appreciate them. The book also includes lists and examples of things you need to talk to your partner about, and I found them to be helpful conversation starters.

For any woman following a successful professional career path, while at the same time approaching the dauntingly complex web of stepmotherhood, this book provides invaluable advise and direction toward a safe, concrete plan of approach to becoming a stepmother. I found many great points in this book even though this is about the third book on stepmothering I have read, My favorite part is at the end of each chapter, she provides questions for both yourself and your partner to discuss together in regards to the topics covered in each section. This book has helped me to solidify my approach to a situation that previously I found to be expectantly negative in general, in a manner that gives me the confidence I usually only reserve for work. I now look forward to finding my place in my new family. Highly recommended!

This past fall I married a man with 2 children from a previous marriage - hence entering the world of stepmotherhood. I never ever thought I'd be here. I had spent the better majority of my life working hard to further my career and continue to find that part of my life both rewarding and very fulfilling. I knew likely I would marry - I had great interest in the companionship and lifelong partnership that would bring. But I have never had quite the same desire to be a mom, let alone a stepmom. Life has a funny way of interjecting an alternate path when you least expect it!Since I met the kids almost 4 years ago, and knowing my relationship with their father was going to be serious, I started searching for support help and doing a lot of reading. But so much out there just never felt like it fit me...negativity, horror stories, or just basic differences - like me not bringing any kids into the equation on my side. I felt like the odd man out, and often felt more alien to stepmotherhood (or the possibility of it) than before I started reading. It is an ongoing "battle" for me. There are some days where I feel very confident in my role as stepmom. There are other days (many more than I would like to admit) where I feel out of sorts and paralyzed almost by the two kids running through my house. But with this book my feelings were very different. I found myself affirming some of the lines with noticeable head nods and even outloud comments like "I'm not the only one" and "I knew it wasn't just me." It was great. It was like finding a positive, comforting and empathetic friend who spoke with candor and honesty but also with heart and passion for making stepmotherhood more welcoming, more understood, and most importantly, more valued than it often is.So many stepmoms, especially those who bring no children of their own into the relationship, struggle to find their place with the children. And also come to terms with what this change means for them - both with their husband and with their career/independent life. My big struggle continues to be how to balance my professional life - which is probably the best it's ever been right now - with a personal life that to some extent, I never imagined myself a part of. But slowly, each day gets better, a little easier, more comfortable. Thanks largely in part to a very strong, supportive husband.Ms. Fletcher's book was refreshing, positive, and very helpful. Put it at the top of your list if you are going to be involved as a stepmother, now or in the future. Few take on the topic like Jacque does.

Great book for women, who like me are completely new to the family world. Taking on my partner and his son after years of being single was a huge shock and I couldn't understand why my emotions and rationality had completely gone out the window. This book helped me understand why I felt the way I did and methods to help me adapt. My relationship with my partner and stepson is now stronger than ever.

This is a great book for both stepmoms and step moms to be! I am in a serious relationship with a man with a toddler and this book was extremely helpful! It does a wonderful job of validating all the negative and challenging feelings (feelings I didnt even know others had too!) that comes with being in the step mom role but doesn't allow you to wallow in pity-and it's done in such an empowering and encouraging way. Jacque provides practical and reasonable solutions to handle a variety of challenges in an honest and endearing way that often ends up making you smile. This book hit so close to home and provided great opportunities for me and my boyfriend to talk and have a better understanding of each others perspective. Read the book, ladies! Your soul will be lifted, I promise!

I am in serious relationship with a man who has 3 children. I'm only 30 pages into this book and have already dog-eared more than 5 pages. I relate so much to how the woman feel in this book and it has really opened my eyes up to what I'm really getting myself into. If you are struggling with being a stepmom or possibly becoming a stepmom, then this book is for you!! You will feel so much better having something to relate to. Also my boyfriend is very interested in reading it with me so it isn't just for the stepmom/soon to be stepmom but also the significant other too! Great book!!!!! =)

This book begins in 1981, when our author’s bus is stopped at Surda checkpoint between Birzeit and Ramallah. She’s detained for hours along with all the other bus riders. To calm herself, she goes into a reverie that takes her to her safe-haven, postbox 34. This box is her own little world of freedom where she receives letters from her pen pals, to whom she writes about anything and everything, except her traumatic childhood experiences! This account is a flashback told in the innocent voice of a three-and-a-half-year-old girl who is separated from her parents, for a whole day, during the six-day war in 1967. As the planes fly overhead, the family flees their home. Ibtisam who is still trying to lace up her left shoe suddenly realizes that there’s no one there. As fear strikes her little heart she leaves her right shoe and goes out into the dark. The courage and endurance of this little girl, in her quest to reunite with her parents is heart wrenching.Ibtisam Barakat draws you into her innocent, patient, persistent and very imaginative little life with magic strings that she weaves with her words and metaphors. She makes friends with a baby donkey in whom she confides. When she must leave him behind, she makes friends with the first letter of the alphabet and confides in the piece of chalk that drew him, until it finally crumbles into dust. This child’s life is full of fear, courage, agony, happiness, love, disappointment, and fulfillment as she endures the occupation along with her family. The book ends in 1971 when a broken hearted Ibtisam moves again from her childhood home, this time for good.In writing this book the author frees herself of the emotions that compelled her to shield her childhood. Her story is not done though. It continues in her next book Balcony on the Moon: Coming of age in Palestine… My next read.

What a charming and at the same time gut-wrenching account of a young girl growing up in occupied Palestine! I thoroughly enjoyed this honest and sweet autobiography.I met the author, Ibtisam Barakat, at my school last semester, and she's amazing as well. I hope everyone who is anti-Palestine reads her work or hears her speak and realizes that these are actual human beings with families and lives who are being torn apart and threatened by the occupation.

I just finished reading this exquisite book by a writer I met 10 years ago at a writing retreat for women. Ibtisam struck me then as an exceptionally vibrant and talented young writer who gave me her favorite book of poems by Hafiz. She had just begun writing her memoir, Tasting the Sky, at the time so it was with delight I read that it had been published. The stars must have been dancing around this young woman as she wrote because her words sing across the pages, even while narrating the traumatic experience of fleeing her home at the age of 3 1/2 during the Six Day 1967 Arab-Israeli War, when she was separated from her parents and walked for days in bleeding bare feet before finding them. This is a story of a closely knit family who manage to gather every joy to be found as they struggle to rebuild their lives and make a home. Two loving brothers, a doting and dedicated father, the lively young girl herself and her strict but caring mother share a generosity of spirit and hopefulness that lifts what could be a story of victimization into one of ongoing hopefulness, and yes, forgiveness.

You will love this book.Is so super good. There is a "historical note" at the end that does not match at all, as ifwritten by some editor not the author. The book itself though is perfect. Vivid kindnesses from a Palestinian Blackgirl's perspective. Beautifuland vegan too!

Bought this for my daughter for a school assignment but ended up reading it myself too. This is a classic childhood remembrance story combined with the horrors of war....definitely a deep book but worth the investment...the author, about whom the book is about, still manages to leave the reader with a feeling of hope for the future despite the situational pain she faces during her journey...suitable for older kids, my daughter is 11 (advanced reader) and was able to comprehend the material, but some of the background info kinda flew over her head because she is not old enough to have really been exposed to something like this yet...

I found this a moving, poignant, powerful story of a girl growing up in war and under occupation. There are grim details in here, but Ibtisam captures the joy and delight of childhood and growing up more than anything else. I have purchased many copies of this book to give out to friends and family because I love to support independent writers, women writing their memoirs and books that go beyond politics and rhetoric to show us the true heart of humanity. Without exception everyone I have given the book to has been deeply touched by the story and in turn passed their copy on to someone else. I do believe the world is made a better place by hearing well told stories of ALL people. This particular book fills a large void in world literature -- the voice of a Palestinian young woman!

My husband purchased this book as an addition to our Catholic School's library wanting to give the students a glimpse into an experience they might otherwise not understand. Having now read the book, I am looking forward to sharing it with schools young readers and also grateful to the author for sharing such a sweet and thoughtful story. Considering buying more copies to give as a gift. Such a great read!

I used this book as a read aloud in my 5th grade daughter's homeschooling segment on the middle east. We both really enjoyed how the story was told and the details. It gave us a lot to discuss as far as the history of the Middle East, Israel, and Palestine. While many parts of the story were sad there was also an excellent sense of humor through the story. The chapter on circumcision was especially funny (and terrifying) especially as this topic was new to my daughter.I know we can debate Israel/Palestine until the end of time but as a resource to show how these conflicts affect us as children this story was an invaluable resource.

Amazon.com Review

Guest Reviewer: Walter Isaacson on The Social Animal Walter Isaacson, the CEO of the Aspen Institute, has been chairman of CNN and the managing editor of Time magazine. He is the author of Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and of Kissinger: A Biography, and the coauthor of The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and daughter. David Brooks has written an absolutely fascinating book about how we form our emotions and character. Standing at the intersection of brain science and sociology, and writing with the wry wit of a James Thurber, he explores the unconscious mind and how it shapes the way we eat, love, live, vacation, and relate to other people. In The Social Animal, he makes the recent revolution in neuroscience understandable, and he applies it to those things we have the most trouble knowing how to teach: What is the best way to build true relationships? How do we instill imaginative thinking? How do we develop our moral intuitions and wisdom and character? Brooks has always been a keen observer of the way we live. Now he takes us one layer down, to why we live that way. --Walter Isaacson An Amazon Interview with David Brooks We talked with David Brooks about, among other things, Jonathan Franzen, Freud, and Brooks's own unfamiliar emotions, just before the publication of The Social Animal. You can read the full interview on Omnivoracious, the Amazon books blog, including this exchange: Amazon.com: Speaking of Tolstoy, I bet a lot of people are going to quoting the first line of Anna Karenina to you: "Happy families are all alike. Every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." Is there a consistency between what makes a family happy, the way that this family turns out to be? Brooks: You know, I never bought Tolstoy's line. Amazon.com: I didn't either. Brooks: I didn't know many happy families that were alike. One of the things you learn is that we're all so much more complex. We all contain multitudes, so someone who might be a bully in one circumstance is incredibly compassionate in other circumstances. We have multiple selves, and the idea that we can have a very simple view of who we are, what our character is, that's actually not right. One of the things all this research shows you is how humble you have to be in the face of the complexity of human nature. We've got a 100 billion neurons in the brain, and it's just phenomenally complicated. You take a little child who says, "I'm a tiger," and pretends to be a tiger. Well that act of imagination--conflating this thing "I" with this thing "tiger"--is phenomenally complicated. No computer could ever do that, but it's happening below the level of awareness. It seems so easy to us. And so one of the things these people learn is they contain these hidden strengths, but at the same time they have to be consciously aware of how modest they can be in understanding themselves and proceed on that basis. A Letter from Author David Brooks © Josh Haner, The New York Times Several years ago I did some reporting on why so many kids drop out of high school, despite all rational incentives. That took me quickly to studies of early childhood and research on brain formation. Once I started poking around that realm, I found that people who study the mind are giving us an entirely new perspective on who we are and what it takes to flourish. We’re used to a certain story of success, one that emphasizes getting good grades, getting the right job skills and making the right decisions. But these scientists were peering into the innermost mind and shedding light on the process one level down, in the realm of emotions, intuitions, perceptions, genetic dispositions and unconscious longings. I’ve spent several years with their work now, and it’s changed my perspective on everything. In this book, I try to take their various findings and weave them together into one story. This is not a science book. I don’t answer how the brain does things. I try to answer what it all means. I try to explain how these findings about the deepest recesses of our minds should change the way we see ourselves, raise our kids, conduct business, teach, manage our relationships and practice politics. This story is based on scientific research, but it is really about emotion, character, virtue and love. We’re not rational animals, or laboring animals; we’re social animals. We emerge out of relationships and live to bond with each other and connect to larger ideas.

From Publishers Weekly

New York Times columnist Brooks (Bobos in Paradise) raids Malcolm Gladwell's pop psychology turf in a wobbly treatise on brain science, human nature, and public policy. Essentially a satirical novel interleaved with disquisitions on mirror neurons and behavioral economics, the narrative chronicles the life cycle of a fictional couple—Harold, a historian working at a think tank, and Erica, a Chinese-Chicana cable-TV executive—as a case study of the nonrational roots of social behaviors, from mating and shopping to voting. Their story lets Brooks mock the affluent and trendy while advancing soft neoconservative themes: that genetically ingrained emotions and biases trump reason; that social problems require cultural remedies (charter schools, not welfare payments); that the class divide is about intelligence, deportment, and taste, not money or power. Brooks is an engaging guide to the "cognitive revolution" in psychology, but what he shows us amounts mainly to restating platitudes. (Women like men with money, we learn, while men like women with breasts.) His attempt to inflate recent research on neural mechanisms into a grand worldview yields little except buzz concepts—"society is a layering of networks"—no more persuasive than the rationalist dogmas he derides. The Social Animal by David Brooks, a Kindle book I began reading on July 28th when my mom and I were flying home from a trip to New York. So engrossing, I barely noticed the turbulence. This book is very much written in the style of a BBC documentary having to do with the human body, ala "Here we see Jane waking up in the morning and bumbling to her bathroom to take a shower; little does she know, but millions of cells and nerves have been awake and busy all while she's been asleep," then the camera focuses in on her arm or face where a graphic or animation of internal activity takes place, demonstrating action at a cellular level. This book does the same with a cast of four characters who fall in love, marry, have children and those children then grow up, all while the narrator of the book interprets these activities, choices, and traits as sociological decisions which can go one way or another or a myriad of different ways.I loved this book and was riveted by its simple yet easily empathic writing style. It seemed like the best kind of reference book, one that you find yourself happily quoting often. Super ultra thumbs up!

The first quarter of this book was fascinating. I could barely put it down. David Brooks offers explanations for many phenomena that we see in the society around us and quotes studies to back up his ideas. Even in the beginning of the book, I suspected he was probably cherry picking studies that support him or subjectively interpreting study results to get the results he wanted, but that's somewhat OK in this situation. This is not a scientific work. It's a journalist putting forth his opinion. In any event, it was interesting reading and got me thinking. Then, closer to the middle of the book, it began bogging down. The use of fictitious characters to illustrate his points began to grow old. The book began to drag. 10,000 words were used to say something that could have been said in 1,000. Then his agenda became more pronounced. He made statements that were not supported by any facts or studies. For instance, he states that a new upper class is emerging in America. He claims that hard working, competent individuals are replacing the inherited money, providing no evidence for this. In fact, this is not the case. Numerous studies (such as the 2010 report from the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development) indicate that in the U.S. social mobility is much lower than in most other western, developed nations. Canada, Australia and most of western Europe have more social mobility than us. In the U.S. the greatest predictor of one's social class and wealth is the class/wealth of one's parents. The notable European exceptions are the UK and Italy, which have even lower social mobility than us. Clearly, Mr. Brooks wants to believe the US is wonderful at rewarding merit and competence regardless of social background, even when the facts do not necessarily support this conclusion. He does this with other points as well, making generalizations without any supporting evidence. To sum up, I agree with some of his conclusions and disagree with some. The book could have said as much in fewer pages. His method of telling the story gets old and really becomes irritating after a while. As the book drags on, he makes more unsupported statements of opinion and more broad generalizations. A bit disappointing.

Brooks writes as if his "characters" experienced the development of each aspect in today's world. Life doesn't work that way; people are shaped by the social climate of their time. Not all of his references are to primary sources, and we are usually not told how significant findings are (or if they are at all significant). On one occasion, for example, he references Time magazine. Nor are we told whether findings have been replicated. That aside, he's a competent writer and the book reads well.

I had to buy this book for class as it was required reading, but it is not just a boring textbook or nonfiction book. David Brooks writing makes the information about society's role in a person's life easy to read and digestible. He includes many facts and research about how people's outcomes can be determined in life and the chances of success, why some succeed and others plateau. Yet, it is written in a story way most of the time, following a few main characters on how they meet, get married, have a son, and how their decisions affect their overall outcome in life. I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in psychology and nonfiction books that are relevant to our lives. It was a good read. The book is paperback and came in time for class.

I particularly enjoyed Brooks’ customary and careful craftsmanship, never over-arguing a point. At times I wondered about his digressions into psychology and behavioral science, as I take it he’s not an authority in either field. Nevertheless, he seems to have had good advisors, and none of it seemed to be controversial or out of place. Most of all, his moderate and even-handed understanding of humanity was comforting and accessible, and perhaps closest to any truth that we can ever know.

I stopped reading after 60 pages. What I was hoping was to learn “how a wise general can train and listen to the scouts”, i.e., encourage positive behaviors through reshaping/relearning. From what I read, I found it difficult to develop interest in the characters in the author’s narrative. Instead, I found I was skipping to the research/theories.It would be helpful if Amazon provided a bit of the book to know what to expect before buying.

Purely generic self-help bullsh*t. Where is all of the "research" he keeps alluding to? Don't waste any time or money on this nonsense.

My son was given this through his school to do over summer break (going from k in to 1st) its a pretty good work book though I have noticed some errors at least within the copy we have. One it is missing a page to review the letter E (how to write it, what words start with E) the book seems to cover all the letter in the alphabet expect E which i'm guessing is a printing or design error on the publishers end. Two unless your kid is really good at reading there will be sections you'll have to either read to them or word it in a way they understand since the way some of it is worded it seems to be written for those older then 1st grade. It is a workbook that needs a parent/adults/older siblings supervision for a child to work, at least on the areas they get stuck in because they don't understand the questions etc...

I bought K to 1, 1st to 2nd, and 3rd to 4th. These are definitely better than the First Grade Bound (etc) that I bought last year (those ones had no order, no plan, and didn't match grade levels well). I really liked the daily break down of the Summer Bridge books. It was a clear and easy to follow - so easy the kids didn't need me to tell them what to do each day. They matched grade level fairly well. But holy cow these books are BORING! It's just work. Blah. There is no attempt to actually engage the children, just busy work. My husband and I are college graduates and are education-minded. We push our kids to learn for learning's sake, but these books make education as boring as it can get. If you want bland just-do-this-and-get-it-over-with work to keep the brain going, these are more than adequate. I'm looking forward to trying out the Brain Quest Summer books which seem to make it more of a game and the activities are not just long lists of boring-ness.My other complaint is the inconsistency in the grade levels. The 1st to 2nd grade was the best one - well balanced and challenging enough to keep the brain going, but easy enough for light summer work. It had a particularly good ratio of math, language, reading, writing, and social studies and pretty much all of the activities were manageable with the right amount of challenge. The K to 1 book was mostly ok. The first of the three sections was so ridiculously easy that my daughter did it all on her own before school was even over (she wanted to!). It was activities like circling the right number of apples or just writing a single letter a bunch of times. She finished what was supposed to be a month's worth of work in about a week in her spare time. Fortunately we didn't need all three sections since their summer is only 9 weeks, so the other two sections got us through the rest of the summer doing a two-sided page "day" 5 days a week. The 3rd to 4th grade book had the opposite problem. It started off great, but halfway through the second section much of the math was getting overly busy and sometimes too complex. There were many division problems that are beyond what he had learned in 3rd grade, and he's in G.A.T.E. In class they only covered multiplication and division 0-12. Example: 496 / 4 = ___. Example: A word problem where he has to work out either 162 / 18 or 18 x __ = 162. He got the concepts as I taught them, but it was frustrating. Some activities were just too lengthy for a quick summer book, such as a set of 10 addition problems like this: 8214 + 7716 + 6389 = ____. It's not that it was hard, but does he really need to do 10 of those, on top of three other activities? One of which is MORE math? There were many times his brother and sister would be done with their books plus 20 minutes of reading and in the pool while he was still working. Granted he likes to stall, so I always had him finish it to avoid rewarding his stalling, but I have to admit that I thought it was too much busy work. That and I found myself teaching him stuff he'd never seen before.Bottom line is that these books were inconsistent and tedious and I will try others before I buy them again.

I was on the fence after reading some of the non-favorable reviews but I think this book will be good for the summer. It does start off easy (writing numbers 1-10, counting) but after flipping through, I see it ends with telling time, money and more complex skills that my child will learn in first grade. Maybe it depends on your school district and what their curriculum is, but this book will work for us. There are also stickers for each page that your child completes, which may provide motivation.

The first part of the workbook may be a little too easy for your rising 1st grader. However that helped us out by giving my son some confidence which helped him as we got further into the workbook and the more difficult work. I really liked how they had the book separated out by days made it easy for my son to know he only had a little to do each day.

We have utilized these books for years! My oldest is 13, youngest is 5. My kids enjoy completing one worksheet each day and often ask to do more than one. The difficulty of the worksheets increases over time which is perfect for building new skills while maintaining old ones. The star stickers at the back are a nice reward to add to each worksheet once completed. My children have never been interested in completing the "goals" in the beginning of the book. I like that in addition to brain exercises there are physical exercises as well! These workbooks have been great for my family and helped immensely to prevent the "summer slide". We even bring them along on vacation, the kids have worked in them at restaurants waiting for food, in the car on road trips and in the evening in hotels!! Great buy!

These are amazing! As a Mom who wasn't sure how to help my kids over the summer this is the answer! They are right on track with their grade level academics. Takes about 15 min a day and sometimes my kids want to do two! Some pages they can do on their own and some they need light assistance. I feel like these books will keep them thinking and learning over the summer. I will buy these for years to come! Don't let a summer go by without these!

I got this for my soon to be 1st grader right before her kindergarten graduation so we could be absolutely ready for summer. We do a page everyday, sometimes two because she really enjoys it!I love that the beginning was more or a review and it helped give her the confidence to keep going. The end of each “day” had a fun thing to do which we both got a kick out of.I can honestly say with the book I have seen tremendous growth in her over the summer! As a teacher in 1st-3rd grade, I know she is completely ready!

We ordered this workbook as well as the summer brain quest for this age group, and we definitely prefer this one. It suits our goals for a summer workbook and also meets the needs and skills of our child. I felt like it did a pretty good job reinforcing the things learned in K5. I'm hoping to see positive results when school begins.

What to do if your kindergartner doesn't get homework but wants it? He's already starting on the K-1 summer bridge workbook. This is a great series (he did PreK-K over the summer.) He can do much of it self-directed and he loves the accomplishment of applying the stickers when he's done with a set of pages.

This book read so easily and was so enjoyable it could have been another 200 pages and that would have been great! I really hope Mr Purnell plans to keep writing - and often!

In Since I Laid My Burden Down, Brontez Purnell creates an amazing portrait of a character at the coming together of a lot of intersections: black, queer, Southern, San Franciscan, Lutheran, Baptist, lover, son, uncle. This book is sometimes hilarious, sexy and heartbreaking, and always honest. I devoured it in one sitting.Deshawn is an artist living in San Francisco. He returns to Alabama for a funeral, and flashes of his life between the two spaces appear. Family and lovers enter the narrative and disappear again. The pace is fast, though there is less emphasis on plot than on character and how these seemingly contradictory identities play out in the central character. The time frame and setting shift mostly between Alabama and San Francisco.I loved the honesty that imbues Purnell’s writing about queer sexuality. It’s raw, it’s honest, it’s sexy. It doesn’t sanitize or uncomplicate itself for the hetero gaze. Nor does Purnell seem to uncomplicate blackness for a white gaze. I’m sure that others can speak more eloquently to that than I can.Since I Laid My Burden Down is a highly effective book and one of my favorite books written in the past few years. I highly recommend it.

GREAT READ! Loved it so much by page 20 that I got immediately online to order his other novel (and passed it to my daughter) ! Certainly to follow in the footsteps of Iceberg Slim, and what an honor that will be.

At a glance I saw some parallels in my own life that made me look forward to this being a relatable read. What exceeded my expectations was how intimate the storytelling is, revealing a fairly harsh history so honestly and casually, in such a sharp and funny way, that I found it not at all harsh to read but fresh and delightful. Also worth noting-- it is a beautifully designed book.

A great story following through one man's life past and present. Loved the story and the character, very engaging. Cant wait to read more of his stories.
